Stephens, Elizabeth L.

STEPHENS, Elizabeth L. – Betty passed away peacefully in her sleep in Guelph, Saturday, March 18, 2017, one day before her 97th birthday.
Predeceased by her husband Truman in 1957. Beloved mother of Dan (Diana). Will be missed by her grandchild, niece, nephews and their families.
Betty had a satisfying career with the Etobicoke Board of Education as both a kindergarten teacher and school librarian. Gardening, ceramics, folk art, music, travel and time spent each summer in Nova Scotia with her brother Rolfe Pryne were extremely important in her life. With sister Helena Bedford, family traditions remained very strong even as the next generation moved onward.
A private family gathering will take place followed by internment in Alliston Union Cemetery.
Thank you to the wonderful staff at Riverside Glen for all the care and support over the past seven years. Your dedication to the residents both retirement and long term care is greatly appreciated.
Arrangements entrusted to WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, Guelph (519-822-0051/www.wallcustance.com)
