SEIFRIED, Clarence Herbert
Clarence Herbert Seifried passed away in his 98th year at The Village of Riverside Glen in Guelph on Monday, October 22, 2018 with family by his side.
Born February 24, 1921 in Guelph Township, Clarence was predeceased by Joyce (nee Chadder), his wife of 67 years. Beloved father of Sheila (Rob) Fennell, Larry (Mary) Seifried, Susan Seifried (deceased), Anne Farrell, Mary (Dirk) Sepers, Wayne (Amy Polson) Seifried and grandfather to Brent (Penny) Parry, Cathy (Aaron) Weddell, Carrie (Ernie) Dunk, Beth Fennell, Shannon (Philippe Lehner) Sepers, Gerrit (Karen Middleton-Meadham) Sepers and Sophia, Angus, Stella and Archie Seifried. Great-grandfather to Christopher and Nicholas Riggs, and Tyler and Mitchell Dunk, Daniel and Jakob Parry, Declan Lehner and Lily West. Survived by brothers Bill and Wilbert (Dorothy) Seifried and sisters Marguerite (Ron) Hulme and Eileen Pellizzari, and predeceased by brothers Fred, Albert, Lloyd, and Carl.
Clarence worked for Guelph Transportation Commission as a bus driver for over 38 years and his warm smile was recognized by many. The family would like to thank the staff of The Village of Riverside Glen for their caring support of our father over the many years he and our mother resided there. We would also like to thank the staff of Friends of the Family who visited Dad over the past few years and brought him hours of enjoyment.
Visitation will be held at the WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph from 7- 9 pm on Thursday, October 25 and 12 -1 pm on Friday, October 26. Funeral and reception to follow commencing at 1 pm. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Salvation Army.
